I have a question before sending in the hair sample. Your site says a “one inch sample of hair next to scalp shows the past 2 months of growth.” So, a three inch sample shows six months. My hair is 14+ inches long. Can I send “whole-length” samples to see what’s been running through my body for the past year? Also, would it be beneficial to include the roots?
You can determine what timeline applies to specific lengths on your hair strand by considering that your hair growth averages 1/2 inch a month. So for 14″, you have approximately 7 months of hair history at the tips.
